Trull Cemetery

Trull Cemetery is located in Courtice, on Baseline road, just off the 401. It's an abandoned cemetery, but well maintained. The Trull family were one of the first settlers in Courtice, and Lydia Trull  was a medicine woman on horseback travelling from Toronto to Cobourg, and there is even a school named after her in Courtice. She was just like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, I'm assuming without ever having watched that show!

I believe there are at least 2 more names on this monument, but I can't make them out, The pink stone does not photograph well, the inscriptions are almost always difficult to read.

What a neat little place, right? I don't think I've seen too many cemeteries that have this many family members, and anyone without the Trull name seems to be linked by marriage anyway!  Also, other that Hall, the other last names were Bowman and Courtice. This cemetery is located in Courtice, near Bowmanville...coincidence? I think not!
