Roadside Tribute-Kirkfield

As I was driving along a peaceful country road one day I happened to peek out my window and see a white cross placed in a bit of flooded field. The cross does have a plaque on it, but at the time I couldn't get close enough to read it due to the water. Unfortunately, I can't read it when I blow up the picture either, so, for now, this person remains unknown.

But what a lovely tribute to them. I'm guessing this person was a snowmobile rider, as someone has placed a helmet here, and a hockey fan too.You can also see 3 bouquets of yellow flowers (one on the cross, on on the post and one in the water), and a small hockey stick.

This picture was taken about two years ago, on or near Digby-Laxton Line in Kirkfield. This may not still be standing.
