Roadside Tribute-Kirkfield

As I was driving along a peaceful country road one day I happened to peek out my window and see a white cross placed in a bit of flooded field. The cross does have a plaque on it, but at the time I couldn't get close enough to read it due to the water. Unfortunately, I can't read it when I blow up the picture either, so, for now, this person remains unknown.

But what a lovely tribute to them. I'm guessing this person was a snowmobile rider, as someone has placed a helmet here, and a hockey fan too.You can also see 3 bouquets of yellow flowers (one on the cross, on on the post and one in the water), and a small hockey stick.

This picture was taken about two years ago, on or near Digby-Laxton Line in Kirkfield. This may not still be standing.

Clark's Cemetery

Clark's Cemetery is located near Seymour Ontario. It's even nearer to Codrington, in fact, it's in Codrington, but maps are stupid. Don't try to find anything out about this place, for no info seems to exist anywhere! And what you find may not be correct, because there are many Clark Cemetery/Clarke Cemetery/Clark Burying Ground Cemetery-ies out there! Here's assuming the land either belonged to a family named Clark, or that it is because there are a whole lot of Clark's who are buried here. Those tend to be the reasons behind cemetery names, right? Frustrating!

This is the view from the front. It's a fairly large lot with a few graves, as you can see. It is fenced and is being maintained nicely. There is not much to see from the road, just a tiny street sign like sign with the words Clark Cemetery in red letters. Note: wear bug spray. I got eaten alive by the flies.
This is strange. It's not uncommon to see the dates of death not on the stone if the person is still living, but these two would be 170 ish years old. I wonder what happened, and if they are buried here?

Bethel Cemetery-Newcastle

Bethel Cemetery is located on Concession 3 in Newcastle. If you are travelling on the 115, get off at the McDonalds exit, but instead of going onto North Street, make sure you stick to Con 3. It's just past the first house on the left. It has no parking, but there's nothing to stop you from parking on either side of the road, and it appears that the farmer's field beside the cemetery has a little driveway where people park and walk through the bushes onto the property.
The above picture is taken from the back of the cemetery, looking at the cairn and towards the road.
