Bethel Cemetery-Seagrave

Bethel Cemetery is a small cemetery in Seagrave, on Hwy 2 (Simcoe St), between Clements Rd and Puckrin Rd. It is an abandoned pioneer cemetery, and the monuments have all been moved into a cairn, including the larger monuments. This cairn is unique as you can walk up to the top of it. The cairn is deteriorating somewhat, and some of the monuments are coming loose. There is also a large crack on the top portion, so watch out when you are walking up there. I tripped, coincidentally right in front of the Tripp monument. I also almost stepped on a snake, luckily it was faster than I am and it moved out of the way!
Parking is on the road, and it is a busy road so use caution. Also, you have to walk through a ditch when entering the cemetery.
The stairs leading to the top of the cairn, with the name of the cemetery on it. I believe it says 1839-1936, but it's quite buried and hard to read.
